Growing up in California, my Christmas experience often lacked the more traditional elements like snow days, caroling, roasted chestnuts, or many of the more classic elements often featured in songs and familiar back east or in Europe. As a result, I have spent my life infusing my holiday with as much tradition and personal ritual as I could muster. At the height of my personal arc of Christmas celebration, back in 2010, I decided to incorporate the ancient element of contributing to the season with my own personal craft… I would draw my own Christmas card. A classic style card that harkened back to the Rockwellian days of mid-twentieth century Americana. After the initial reception of this first year, and the joy it sprung in producing it, a new life pattern emerged. And year after year, it was only reinforced until it has become a tradition of its own.
Now, producing the card annually is both a main-stay of my personal holiday, as well as an anticipated joy for many friends and family around the country during the season. Thank you for all the love, encouragement and support over the years and through the many iterations of the cards, especially to Courtney - the founding Imagineer that brought the cards to life (and to paper).
Merry Christmas - Love, Michael
