My present project comes from the ancient Roman historian Arrian, who authored one of the most complete biographies of Alexander III of Macedon. Sourcing the records of Ptolemy, now lost to modern history, Arrian tells of one of Alexander's closest brushes with death in attempting to sack the Mallians, an Indian tribe along the Hydraotes River. And if that's not pretentious enough for you, follow this link to a video of me reading this blerg in a monocle and a smoking jacket.
